On October 17, 2024, Ellona had the honor of participating in the 3rd edition of the Smart City Galaxy Congress, organized by Chochoy Conseils, held at the Maison de la Poste in Brussels. This event brought together experts, innovators, and key players to explore the challenges and solutions surrounding Smart Cities.

During this enriching day, Ellona was awarded a trophy in recognition of our commitment to innovation and collaboration. This award represents not just a recognition but symbolizes our determination to make our cities smarter and safer.
We are proud to play an active role in transforming the urban environment through our environmental monitoring solutions, which allow for the assessment of air quality that citizens breathe, street by street. With over 50% of the global population living and working in urban areas, it is essential to measure air quality in our cities. However, this task is complex: dense urban fabrics, noise, traffic, and weather conditions all affect local pollution behavior.

Our solutions provide accurate, reliable, and real-time data to tackle these challenges. Here’s how our technology helps improve air quality:
- Reliable and accurate pollution control: We measure the impact of urban development, road traffic, and neighboring industries on air quality. This helps protect citizens’ health and reduces healthcare costs.
- Hyperlocal real-time data: Our sensors provide a comprehensive view of air quality, complementing measurements from official reference stations. They detect major pollution hotspots and identify pollution sources, enabling proactive management.
- Prevention of high pollution episodes: With an alert system, we notify authorities when pollution thresholds are exceeded, allowing for a swift response to safeguard public health.
- Awareness and sustainable mobility: By raising awareness among residents about environmental protection, we promote new forms of sustainable mobility, making cities more attractive to tourists and contributing to a healthier ecosystem.
